Great Brook Farm State Park

A working dairy farm with more than twenty miles of trails running out from it, past stone walls, seventeenth-century cellar holes and ponds worth walking to. The dairy tour is free and runs at weekends.

Three hundred years ago families built houses out here in the woods. The houses are long gone, but the holes where their cellars were are still in the ground, and you can walk right up to one. The cows on this farm get milked by a robot.
